let's get you right where you need to go~
June is a shader that applies directly to the screen.
Test for conditions (ex. VR or cameras) before rendering.
Use depth info to redefine what post-procesisng can do.
Spooky lighting in horror games, camera shakes in explosions, and beautiful depth of field camera apertures. What do these have in common? Post-processing shading.
In case you didn't know, a shader is a tiny program that runs on your GPU. These let developers access and modify the color of pixels on your screen (among other things) and can run anywhere from on a VRChat avatar to a Unity game's menu screen.
June is a collection of potential code pieces that can make up a single shader, with a lil fancy editor on top of it all to allow you to choose what is compiled and what isn't.
Most post-processing effects just reads from the screen, and rarely, from the depth buffer. June (optionally) can reconstruct the scene from the depth buffer and do a lot of crazy things with this information that looks pretty cool, if I do say so myself. I also utilize a couple of other fun shading techniques like raymarching, past frame buffers, and more to deliver only the best to you โค๏ธ

Currently, whatever VRChat supports is what is "officially" supported. Theoretically, anything newer than 2019 should work, but specific support for newer Unity versions is coming soon! Right now, it is also developed with BIRP (built-in rendering pipeline) in mind. You can use June in your Unity games (in Unity 2019+) as well as on VR platforms, VRChat, Beatsaber, even some mobile platforms, and much more! June was developed on both MacOS and Windows, and theoretically should work on most Linux distros that can run Unity well.
Updates for June itself are free. So far there have been quite a few, releasing anywhere from multiple in one month to spread out over a few months. Support is provided via Discord, an optional Discord server, and email. I won't charge ya for the same product over and over ;)
:) i am but a wee indie developer / student doing this on her freetime in uni. not some soulless company making assets. i work with a lot of clubs, creators, and more โ if you are feeling unsure about June, feel free to reach out to me~
You cannot redistribute the June files directly (ex. reuploading the package or shader files), but you can use June in your productions that will make profit (ex. a club with a patreon). If you need a redistributable June version, check out June Lite!
Discord or Email are the best ways. I try to reply to Booth messages, but I don't speak Japanese so uh.. that UI is a bit hard ;p My Discord: lukalovesyou and My Email: lukazoeysong[at]gmail.com
Do you use June in projects that profit? Examples of these could be using June in showcases for things you are selling, in worlds with Patreon subscribers, sold Beatsaber maps, or other variations of these things. If so, choose commercial. If not, personal should work just fine~ PS: If your "profit is under $100 USD per month, you can use the personal license as well!
I prefer Paypal after contacting me on Discord or Email just to avoid marketplace fees, but Gumroad and Booth work just fine if they work for you. If you cannot use credit card or Paypal, I also can take Bitcoin and Monero, but keep in mind those transaction fees!
Yep I try and add most things people want, so just hit me up and i'll let u know if it's possible :p
That's fair โ I am a student supporting herself and I understand being financially careful. If you are in a similar position, or are down on hard times, I do try and make exceptions!! feel free to reach out and explain your positon, but please don't lie or abuse this, i really want to try and make June accessible and fair for everyone. as for the normal price, man, it was a daily grind for such a long time, June might not seem like it at first, but it is a HUUUUGE undertaking for just one lil lady. like an absurd amount of work, so ultimately, i think i priced it fairly, but hey, to each their own ๐
!!! lumiechuu is responsible for a lot of the artwork and Riamu's in June. Riamu is property of Bandai Namco and the Idolmaster series. You can find the lil alpacca she sits on in some previews here: https://booth.pm/ja/items/3989267. The scene in the parallax background is the old Unity testing scene, and the scene in the other images was made with the help of my friend CommandoBox.
